This is a mockup up for a label I would own in the (possible) future. The design is a reflection of fashion's roots in india, the local tailoring shops. The design takes inspiration from art on Indian trucks and autos. Colour palette has been derived from contrasting, vibrant colours found on the streets and shop boards. Most tailors have shops with names of women, and that was the inspiration.
The most important part of the design is the incorrect spelling of the word tailoring. In a country like India, where English is a widely spoken language, we find spelling errors in shop names ever so often. The deliberate typo is an ode to where every Indian designer’s fashion journey begins.
